CULTURE AND SPORT

The main centres of cultural life in Kluczbork are KDK (Kluczbork's Cultural Centre) and MDK (Youth Culture Centre). KDK and MDK are places where young people are learned how to spend their free time in a useful and active way working in artistic teams, clubs and sections. There are offered for example: music, plastic arts, dancing or photography lessons. Moreover KDK organizes various competitions, presentations, thematic meetings, author's evenings and facilities for youth groups realising own hobbies. In Kluczbork there is DKF "KONESER" - films debating society. This club cooperates with KDK. MDK enables children and youth to develop interests connected with art or science. A folk group "STOBRAWA" cooperates with MDK. In Kluczbork there is a Museum. The Museum organises and runs museum lessons for youth and children, organises temporary exhibitions which are good possibility to contact with history, arts and to experience other culture. The permanent exhibition is related to history of apiculture and famous beekeeper - Jan Dzierżon. In Kluczbork there are lots of opportunities for watching and doing sport. The main centre of sport is OSiR (Sport and Recreation Centre). For the active person who want to do sport there are accessible sport centres - not only indoor, but also outdoor: swimming pool (with sauna), sports hall, gym, tennis courts, summer swimming pool, stadium. In 2004 the VI European Youth Championship in Draughts took place. http://kluczbork.pl/imprezy/ In most cases, cultural and sport events are organized and co-ordinated by KDK and OSiR. The greatest event in Kluczbork: "Kluczbork Days" Kluczbork Days are organized usually in the middle of June. Other regular cultural-sport events:
